He ejected the empty clip and reloaded. He waited with eyes closed, listening. In the dark, the eyes were useless and only faint sounds mattered.

The faint rustling of feet was like a thunderclap and he sensed the terrorist’s position and squeezed off a shot. It was a pregnant female terrorist strapped with a bomb.
